Channelling the sweeping, distorted sound of the garage rock revival with the polish of alt rock, Violet releases their sophomore EP, ‘Caveat’. Based in Naarm (Melbourne), Violet is formed by Harry Jones (vocals, guitar), Wanda Dohl (drums), and James Elliott (bass). 

Taking influence from the early 2000s indie rock scene such as Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes to the melodic and lyrical work of Jeff Buckley, to more recent influences of Geese and Fontaines D.C., Violet balances the loud, brash sound of guitars clashing with soft and honest melodies.

Since their beginning, Violet has gone on to have appearances at Queenscliff Music Festival and Fed Square, to support slots with DICE, Good Sniff, Suneden, and BEANS. 2026 found them embarking on two Australian tours, promoting their recent EP release. ‘Caveat’ presents Violet at their best, with honest and emotional lyricism with infectious musicality.
